Rui Ruis blog made it to China!!

I'm planning my move back to China next month and I've finally got my blog up and running, I will still be running this blog, but things in China are somewhat screened out from the rest of the world and so my fellow Chinese peeps find it very difficult to access this page! I'm really looking forward to communicating ideas and joining design networks over there! I will be keeping you posted with new exciting Chinese designers I come across! Rui Ruis Random Adventures.........

I've just been randomly playing around on Foto Flexer and I must say I'm loving the cross process effect.....i just love how it instantly makes your snaps look retro. So I've picked out a few of my fav's in the most random moments of my life! Adventures include my own garden in the UK, to China's Sichuan province, over to Shanghai and down to breathless views in Thailand! Enjoy! :)

Tai Kang lu - Shanghai

Ah watch out for the bicycles in Shanghai...they are literally everywhere!!

If you're lucky enough to visit Shanghai,  then make sure you take a trip down Tai Kang Lu, there's some beautiful little alleyways with special boutique shops and cafes. It's a gorgeous and inspiring place to be come rain or shine. 

You can always witness the locals washing hanging out the dry! This is one of my fav features in Shanghai!

Kims Little Monsters.....

I've luckily just come across a very talented designer/ teacher/ illustrator/ blogger that goes by the name of Kim Welling who's working and living from the Netherlands.

 I wanted to share some of her work with you, because I just love Kims use of colour and free hand illustrations and above all I'm totally in love with her instant comfort boxes, they are just  too adorable!
