Spring Flowers - New Card Design

So spring has finally arrived!! Can't you just hear those bees buzzing around! Well maybe I' m been a little hasty, but still its nice to get excited about all the new summer clothes we will soon be sporting!

Rui Rui Designs has a new Intern!

Yes thats right, after much deliberation I have decided to take on an intern to help with my busy schedule! The candidate seemed eager to learn and pretty happy with the salary I was offering and obviously the invaluable experience she would gain! She heres what she got up to today in her words.

Hi I'm Tomi and I have just started my first day at Rui Rui Designs,

 I'm pretty excited and eager to earn my first pot of salmon biscuits!

 So I was working very hard! Meow!!!

I was learning alot about different fabrics

and embroidery techniques....

But then wait! I can hear a buzzing noise!

Haha, No false alarm, just a lush smelling flower!

"No wait!!! I definitley heard it that time"

"Hey did you see anything?"

"I'm sure I !!!"

Tomi unfortunately didn't finish the end of the morning,

she had drifted off to take a cat nap!

Think I'm going to pass on the intern!

Ah!! Sigh!!!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today as you know is a very special day in the UK....yes its Mother's Day, where we shower our dear mothers in gifts and love.

So heres a few fab little thoughtful ways to say thanks to our mums, who help us get past all those traumatic ordeals!

To my fab mum whose 5600 miles away..........."Happy Mothers Day Lamby, missing you lots and lots and wishing I could give you a big cuddle!!! "

Lou Lou Dreaming....

I've been working on some new business cards today for Rui Rui Designs and I happened to come across these beautifully stitched cards and quickly  fell in love with the designers other projects. Louise Firinne is the talented designer behind Lou Lou Dreaming, who started this creative journey back in 2008 with Simply Rouge, she is based in her studio in Northern Ireland, where she mostly works on design and craft stationery for weddings and special events .

It's been a rough day....

Exhausted from all the Chinese NY noise pollution, Leoncio decided to kick it back today by having a few light naps, the occassional yawn, and the odd stretch; as you can see it's a hard life for some! But thankyou to Leoncio for sitting by my side and keeping me company all day :)

Bohemian Love Charms.......

Today has been a day of rummaging through my fabric scrap boxes and taking to some hand embroidery to create some cute little heart charms, based on the bohemian love story.

It must be love...........

What with Valentines Day fast approaching I thought it was time to get some trend ideas posted out! My ideas focus on 4 different themes, as we know....love is complicated and comes in many shapes and sizes so hopefully there is something here to suit everyone! 

Life in Sugar City

 So I'm just about moved into the new apartment in Wu Tang Xin Chun, which translates to 5 Sugar New City and here's some snaps of my new apartment so far! Still in need of a new desk, sewing machine, and printer... boohooo! But hopefully going to be up and running very soon!
